Mammoth

During my time working on the BBC series "Mammoth," my responsibilities encompassed a wide range of technical and creative challenges. One of the primary tasks I handled was full-body chroma keying, which involved extracting actors from green screen backgrounds while preserving fine details such as hair strands. This meticulous process required advanced keying techniques and precise attention to detail to ensure realistic and seamless integration of actors into digital environments.
In addition to chroma keying, I took these shots through to completion by compositing the keyed footage with 2D matte paintings of snowy mountains, enhancing the visual depth and realism of the scenes. The integration of matte paintings required careful matching of lighting, perspective, and textures to achieve a cohesive and immersive visual experience.
Reflection removal and edge treatment were additional tasks that I executed. Removing unwanted reflections and enhancing the edges of composited elements required detailed rotoscoping and compositing techniques, contributing to the seamless integration of visual effects with live-action footage.
