The Radleys
Watch Local Version
During my involvement in "The Radleys," I undertook a variety of crucial VFX tasks. One of my favourite and most challenging sequences involved a shot where I performed extensive paint and prep work on fence panels to clean up existing graffiti. Subsequently, I added new graffiti assets and various poster elements to serve the narrative of the film. This process required attention to detail in matching textures and colors to seamlessly integrate the new elements into the environment. Additionally, I completed full-body roto for this shot, ensuring that actors and were placed back on top of the new background.
One of the challenges was removing rain from multiple scenes. This involved meticulous paint work to seamlessly erase raindrops and water streaks from the footage, preserving the intended atmospheric conditions of each shot. Wire rig removals were also a part of my responsibilities. I used various compositing techniques to eliminate visible wires used during stunt or special effects sequences, ensuring that these elements did not distract from the narrative flow of the film.
Working on "The Radleys" was a rewarding experience that allowed me to demonstrate my expertise in paint, prep, roto, and compositing, contributing to the film's visual richness and narrative impact. Each task presented unique challenges that I enthusiastically tackled, ensuring that every visual effect seamlessly supported the storytelling and immersive experience of the film.
